David Postolski, a senior partner at Gearhart Law, is a registered patent attorney and Intellectual Property (IP) attorney for close to 20 years. David specializes in assisting inventors, creators, artists, start-ups, entrepreneurs, early-stage companies, and emerging companies with their U.S. and international IP strategy, protection, enforcement, and monetization. David is a frequent speaker and author on emerging IP issues and technologies, including raising capital, AI, business formation, food science, software, licensing, Data and Privacy Compliance, equity-based crowdfunding, and compliance with other US and International Regulatory structures. David is also a Professor at Temple University, Parsons School of Design, and the Radzyner Law School (Herzliya, Israel), where he teaches master-level students about IP, ethics, and other regulatory considerations. David is a current Council Member of the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law, founder of their International Action Group, and editor of their monthly newsletter, and the outgoing Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Officer. David currently serves on Harvard’s Lemann Entrepreneurial Program Advisory Board.

Alan N. Walter, Counsel, is an experienced corporate attorney who has been providing legal services to innovators, startups, and entrepreneurs as the founder of his own firm, Alan N. Walter, Counsel, since 2010. With a focus on serving as outside general counsel, Alan assists clients with entity formation, financing and funding (including equity, debt, crowdfunding, and offerings under Regulation D and the JOBS Act), digital assets, NFTs and AI, employment matters, contract negotiation and drafting, M&A, commercial real estate transactions, business monetization and succession planning.

In addition to his own practice, Alan currently serves as Chief Legal Officer for Blue Ocean Healthcare Investments, a private equity firm acquiring and operating healthcare companies. Previously, he was general counsel at MarketCounsel, a compliance consulting firm for investment advisors, The Money Store, a multi-state mortgage banker, and The LINC Group. He was also an associate at a predecessor to the law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.

Alan has authored publications, including a blog on his firm's website and articles in the New Jersey Law Journal and Financial Advisor magazine. He volunteers as a legal mentor for entrepreneurs at Montclair State University, chairs a District Fee Arbitration Committee for the New Jersey Supreme Court and provides pro bono legal services through the Pro Bono Partnership.

Admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey, Alan holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. from Harvard College. He ialso holds licenses as an insurance producer and an investment advisor representative.
